KPS Wilbraham pharmacy has undergone a substantial transformation. Brothers Maneet and Aneet Kapoor who have served the Chorlton community for over a decade proudly launched their new patient-friendly pharmacy. Maneet back in 2017 during his ‘Loneliness’ campaign set out the new ideas that KPS Wilbraham Pharmacy would undergo. These ideas have now come to fruition; a brand-new consultation room, new seating area where people can chat and read all the leaflets about what’s going on in the area as they wait for their consultations or prescriptions, and a new disabled ramp. Outside the pharmacy is the new community zone. This area has been cordoned off to provide a safe zone for those using wheel chairs, pushchairs and bikes. The shop is also fronted by planters where herbs are grown which are available for patients to take as they wish. The downstairs of the shop has also been redesigned so that sealed packs of weekly medication, split into days of the week can be made up for those patients who may not feel well or confident enough about getting their medication right each day. It’s a safety measure so that family and carers can see quickly if medication has been taken. Staff at Wilbraham Pharmacy in Chorlton were joined by guests including the Lord Mayor Cllr June Hitchen, Cllr Mandie Shilton Godwin, Cllr Dave Rawson, Cllr Aftab Razzaq and Cllr Mary Watson at the event celebrating its refurbishment, and the launch of the pharmacy’s mental health awareness campaign. Mayoress Cllr June Hitchen whilst cutting the ribbon during the opening ceremony thanked Maneet and Aneet Kapoor for their continued investment and service to the local community. Maneet Kapoor took the opportunity during the opening ceremony to thank his team for their incredible hard work and loyalty, and was humbled by the love and support received from the local community. On the back of the Mental health campaign KPS Wilbraham Pharmacy are launching their physical activity awareness month. Physical activity is proven to reduce mental health problems particularly in young men and women.
